A Visit to Pokhara
Last month on 15th Falgun, our college had organized an educational tour to Pokhara. We started our journey at 6 am in the morning after all friends were gathered. There were 35 students and 5 teachers.
We had our brunch at Muglin and then reached Pokhara at 2 o’clock. We have gone to Phewa lake and done boating there. I have loved the boating though I was scared. We have performed ‘Puja’ at Tal Barahi temple. I have clicked so many pictures there. Then we went to visit the hill where was a massive statue of lord Shiva. After that we have booked a hotel at lakeside and went for night walk. I was observing the market, people and tourists. I was enjoying the scenic beauty of night view at Phewa lake.
On the second day, we have gone to different caves like Mahendra cave and Bat cave. I was scared by the bats inside there. We had our lunch and then travelled another lake and other religious sites in Pokhara.
On the third day, we visited some academic places. I loved the library of Pokhara University. We were welcomed by the group of students and we discussed about the teaching and learning of that university. I was thinking of pursuing my bachelor’s degree from there. We have also visited Prithivi Narayan Campus. It was built in a huge ground with attractive gardens. After visiting these colleges we went to Fun Park and enjoyed our time merrily.
Pokhara is a beautiful valley and always had the domestic and international tourists. There are Newars, Gurungs, and Magars in high majority. Their popular profession is tourism business. Our teachers suggested us to taste ‘Thakali cuisine’ which I have enjoyed while eating. Apart from this the aesthetic view of Annapurna region and paragliding make the day of any tourist mesmerizing.
While returning we sang songs and I have danced in some songs inside bus to please my friends. Though I was tired, I was happy with the memories of Pokhara. I think everyone should go there once in a life.
