– Many people strongly claim that agriculture in Nepal has great potential in terms of development and promotion of financial sectors. For doing so, we must support farmers to jump from current situation of agriculture.

Farmers with privation are not capable to produce from agriculture. So the first priority must be given to them. For example; providing them required tools and materials, making reliable market without brokers, building infrastructures (cold stores), giving them quality seeds, helping them with transportation with low cost, setting up better irrigations, donations of fertilizers, freeing tax in agriculture, training farmers, etc. can be the head start for the betterment in agriculture. Government and local bodies should focus on implementing technology as well as they must conduct some research works with the help of technicians and biologists; so that the suitable crops in different seasons and off seasons can be carried out.

If we can promote farmers through the all – round supports, the growth from the agriculture might be seen. From which financial sector or business of Nepal can be guaranteed. We can trade surplus commodities so that the ratio of import can be reduced. Another important thing that government must do is allowing foreign investment in running industries without any form of corruption. It will definitely allow the raw materials, which are produced, to be used or refined so that we could have the suitable market without price hike. It is unseen but true that, when agricultural aspects are well cared by government, local bodies, NGOs, INGOs; it can obviously boost the business and slowly carry the country to international competition too.

Should we free agricultural courses in Nepal? Definitely, we can free these agricultural courses throughout the Nepal because we can teach the advanced agricultural practices to our students who are interested in working as farmers in Nepal. As we know, nowadays many people are struggling to get a job of 30K per month which can be easily earned if they are well known about well to do agriculture and farming practices. So as the best move we must add agriculture courses in every schools and colleges with no cost. Therefore any students with economy problem can secure good future in agriculture, which is of course the beneficial part for our nation.

Many people hold different perspectives but in my opinion, our country should restrict the foreign going culture and prioritize agricultural portion with maximum care for the betterment of customers, consumers, and farmers leading prosperity in business sector and can have financially strong Nepal; for which agriculture is the backbone.

To sum up, helping the farmers through crop insurance, managing fair competitive market, freeing agricultural courses as well as support from top to bottom authorities can surprisingly enhance the agriculture and business in Nepal simultaneously.
