Future Tense
Future tense can be used to denote the upcoming time and action.
Simple Future Tense
Active: (S+shall/will+v1+o)
Passive: (O+shall/will+be+v3…)
Or
S+ is/am/are+going to+ base verb
Use:
- To talk on decision made at the moment of speaking
- Prediction or future facts
- To express promises, offers or plans.
Examples:
- I am thirsty. I will drink some water.
- It will rain tomorrow.
- I will carry your bag.
- We are going to visit Pokhara.
Future Continious Tense
S+will be + V4
Use
- To denote the action happening at a specific time in the future.
- To denote planned future action
- Polite inquiry about future plans
Examples:
- This time tomorrow, she will be traveling to Kathmandu.
- She will be attending the workshop next week.
- Will you be attending the meeting tomorrow?
Future Perfect Tense
Active: (Subject + will have + V3+ O)
Passive: (Object + will have + been + V3…….)
Use:
- To denote the action completed before a specific time in the future
Examples:
She will have completed her homework before dinner.
Future Perfect Continuous Tenes
Subject+will have been+V4
Use:
- To show cause of a future situation
Examples:
- By next year, I will have been teaching for five years.
- By next November, I will have been teaching for ten years.
- She will be tired because she will have been working all day.
